Judge A Book By Its Cover - BlogTuesday, February 21, 2006 New coversI've upped the number of covers in the database - I've added another 2281 covers (814 books, 622 CDs and 845 DVDs). That brings the total number of covers in the system to 2363! Keep judging!Update: This seems to have affected performance - hopefully when all the covers are fully updated, the site should run a bit smoother. Call these early teething problems!! Update 2: Right, I've sorted out the problems, call them scaling issues! I've now added a more conservative 56 book covers, 47 CD covers and 57 DVD covers - totalling 160 new covers. A bit less than 2281!! I'll be working on letting it scale better in the future, for now enjoy judging the 242 covers currently in the system! Posted by Chris at 22:04 |
